Lost And Found
by Sam M. Phillips
Painted window wide wonders,
Stares, slowly bares,
Borrowed time, toned down,
Round a sick silence,
Mends, and tends to drain,
Such pain,
Pushes, wax, wan,
Disdain, cold vein,
Fast train, insane,
Towers vast,
Shadows cast,
Hold fast,
To the last,
Over now,
Cow and bend,
Leaving traces here,
There, leer, stare.
Where are you?
Through and through,
Made new,
Fine hue,
Some clue,
Me and you,
Wander,
Ponder,
Together,
And find words for confusion,
Mix metaphor,
Draw conclusion,
More and more,
Never seen before,
Raw collar sense,
Tense shoulders dense,
Brain matters,
Move hence,
Walk with me around the fence
And see something on the ground,
Once lost,
Now found.
