Pattern Path
by Sam M. Phillips
Cells bounce,
Agitated algorithm,
Sickly cynicism,
Creates division,
Within self,
A belting mass,
Crass and shouting,
Hefty clout and massive fist,
Masochist,
Shamed and sliced up,
Blamed and bound shut,
Moves against the restraint,
Cries for freedom,
For numbness and dumbness,
Have you a clue where I might find something new?
So few to choose from.
Letters link,
Soul sink,
A deep hole,
Plays a role,
In all this,
A life turns and realises,
The seal rises,
Imprint is everything,
In making a king,
No small thing,
To contemplate place and person,
You will curse them,
But all is in balance,
Everything valuable and needed,
Or the whole falls apart.
Don’t guide me down the path,
I’m not ready,
Set steady,
Like rock,
By shock,
Life’s pain,
My gain,
Love for all,
Even the fall,
Can’t die yet,
Goals to be met,
Service and sacrifice required,
Only ego expired.
