Minions
by Sam M. Phillips
They’re doing their best,
I guess,
But it really isn’t good enough,
If they don’t like this,
Tough luck,
They’ve struck out,
I’m not about to lower my standards,
Move towards second class,
All I ask for is best efforts,
It affronts me
When they confront me to complain,
Refrain from anger,
They badger,
I must absorb,
Handle with care,
They deserve fair treatment,
But not to my detriment,
The firmament of my vision must not be shaken,
The objectives should not be forsaken,
I’ve taken adequate steps to prepare
That my affairs are handled with care,
So how dare they risk loss
If they can’t take responsibility for the cost?
