Skinhead
by Sam M. Phillips

Hard world,
Can’t show weakness,
Let people in and you’re done,
Run,
Keep running,
People sizing him up,
Put on a front,
Slump,
Keep at arm’s length,
Pump,
Fist raised,
Stick to ideology,
Tow party line,
Wine,
Loose tongue,
He’s going to get himself killed,
Dine,
The wolves gather,
Show of force,
Coerce,
Remorse,
Time fades passion,
Betrayal,
Stigma,
Exhaustion,
Truth shows through cracks,
Hypocrite,
Weakness,
Wolves tear to shreds,
Legs broken,
Token effort to stand,
Hand smashed,
Cashed in,
Cannot win,
Sin sticks,
The group picks off
The old,
The sick,
So fake it,
Attack or be attacked,
Odds stacked against,
Skinhead,
White power crumbles,
Rumbles now past,
Half-caste baby,
New friends,
Defends family,
Calamity,
Cast out,
Shout,
Rout the pack,
Wolves flee,
Leave him be,
Not worth it,
Traitor,
Turns on his own race,
On his country,
Youth replaces veterans,
Cycle repeats,
One eats the other,
Brother turns on brother,
Prison,
Death,
Obscurity,
A peaceful life of poverty,
Only to the lucky.
