Walking
by Sam M. Phillips

I don’t plan to walk far,
Seek to soothe this scar.

I don’t need a car to travel,
To unravel the mysteries
Speaking all around.

I’ve found my medium
To escape the tedium
Of existence.

My persistence
In pursuing this end
Sends me around the bend
Of the street.

My feet carry me,
All I need
To feed
My body and brain.
