Dance
by Sam M. Phillips

Let me dance for you, weave a trace for you,
Let me pull you through a small hole into the wide blue yonder,
I want to make you ponder; fill your head with wonder.

Let’s tie a tether to a feather
And fly away into the sky today,
I want to play with you in freedom in an infinite kingdom.

Place your hand here, on the seat of my soul, feel my heartbeat toll,
We roll together through stormy weather, this thorny heather
No impediment, we implement
A new system of love, ordained from above.

Porcelain skin, this thin membrane, can’t restrain
From caressing you, I’m undressing you,
You have no clue what you do
To me to make me see hope, you allow me to cope.

So come dance with me, give me the chance to be
Close to you, to mean the most to you,
Like you do to me.
