War King
by Sam M. Phillips
Sword swirls,
Twirls twisted ribbon of blood,
Mud splatter,
Bodies scatter,
Matter divided,
Strength tested,
Foe bested,
Divine combat,
Dirty reality,
See the fatality,
Red gore,
Gods demand more
Soul sacrifice,
Entice their favour,
They are the saviour
Of the war king,
Bring him victory,
Fill his story
With obstacles overcome,
Watch him run
Down a road paved with bone,
No need to atone,
It is his destiny,
Arrogant family,
Believes might makes right,
Proof is in success,
Lord of flesh
Wants to live forever,
For this he will sever
Your life link,
Watch you sink
Into the ground,
Hear the sound
Of death rattle,
Another battle,
Men fall like cattle,
The war king an instrument,
A testament
To some dark demon,
Screaming for expression,
The lesson is this;
Do not miss
The facts,
The war king acts
As a tool,
A fool,
Spiritually lost,
He pays the cost,
He’s not the boss
On the end of puppet strings,
His action brings
Him more of the same,
Unable to tame
His passions he takes the blame,
Losing his own life in this game,
He experiences no gain
As he reincarnates,
And hates the fates
For cursing him again
To a life filled with pain,
Unable to refrain
From digging himself deeper,
Energetic grim reaper,
The real winner
As the sinner
Is sucked dry,
And wonders why
They can never escape,
It’s too late
For the war king’s dynasty,
They embody the demon’s fantasy
