Sensate
by Sam M. Phillips
Two-headed bird of paradise,
I have no more poetry within,
Colony of ants move as one,
Everything is without.
Strobe light skinks scurry,
Wind is invisible
Except in the trees.
Hot stones,
I wear black in the sun,
The phone rings
And the rage spiral begins.
