Cosmic Creature
by Sam M. Phillips
Supernatural brain freeze,
I seize the opportunity
To express empathy
For cosmic creature,
The constant feature
Of my dreams
That screams
For existence.
.
Its persistence
Doesn’t provide me a chance
To ignore it,
But I’m all for it,
So it doesn’t matter,
I let it splatter
Metaphysical matter
Across my brain.
.
It’s all the same
To me, I see
Things like this every day,
Hear it play
Some existential tune,
Referential rune
It displays in heat,
Feel the sequence complete.
.
Neat rows
Of all that glows,
Grows through my attention,
Lives through my action,
Law of attraction
Brings it into being,
Fleeing before darkness,
Distress to be alone.
.
Hear the tone
Of its many colours,
Smell the contours
Of its inter-dimensional shape,
Feel it drape
A thick cloud around
Everything it’s found
To cling onto.
.
It’s inside you,
Sticks like glue,
Now two
Become one,
All is done,
I hope you had fun
Creating a new entity
That now lives in your mind.
