Pariah

by Sam M. Phillips

Hate, hate, hate.

Debate of pariah,

I am a liar,

Desire to see true enemy,

Is it inside of me?

Why do we

Turn against the core?

Why is there always more

Rage against ourselves?

Delves down deep,

Keep on digging,

Rigging the result

To cause more tumult,

Am I at fault?

.

Die, die, die.

Why all this torment?

Are we meant

To be our own demise?

My eyes open and close,

Who knows

What is right and wrong?

Life short yet long,

Do we learn anything?

Is there something to win?
