Choosing

There is as much worth in writing poetry

As there is in short stories,

I will not allow this new tyrant to control me,

My high value inherent in my being,

So whatever I do is right,

God knows my character

And he places obstacles before me,

No man can judge me

If I do nothing today

Or if I write in the form of my choosing,

It is all of my choosing,

If some of it is paid that wasn’t its reason to be born,

I write for sanity,

That is my coin,

Without expression I am nothing.
