Endless Creation
by Sam M. Phillips
I’m having more fun,
And get more done,
By using the computer straight,
You know how much I hate
To type up my poems,
The mind roams,
It’s just work,
But here I jerk
Myself into a new mould,
Fold myself to fit
As I sit
At the computer screen,
Writing in a dream,
Stream of words to fascinate,
Elate myself and demonstrate
The ease with which to please
The senses, my defences
Lowered and let loose,
I grow weary of your noose,
Hanging heavy around my neck,
I want to wreck
All the old ways,
I have no idea how this plays
Out in the future,
Or even now,
But I cannot bow
To convention,
So it’s my intention
To use whatever medium
Breaks the tedium
Of endless creation.
