Benevolent Beguiling

Words of bedevilment,

Benevolent beguiling,

My demons smiling,

Riling me to madness,

Can’t expect less,

They are a test,

A temptation,

The frustration

Is my enemy,

I cannot see

What is best for me,

I need rest to see

The better part

Of my broken heart,

Start then finish,

Diminish my energy

One word at a time,

I hear my elegy,

It is slime,

Rhyme is dead,

How I dread

To be misunderstood,

Will my poetry

Be considered good?
