Incompatible Pieces
by Sam M. Phillips
I see the incompatible pieces,
The search never ceases,
I fold the creases
In my effort at creation,
I seek a situation
Which can give me satisfaction,
I am part of a fraction
Of humanity
That attacks magic with humility,
We all have the ability,
Or don’t we?
Maybe I see more?
Maybe I’m one of a core
Of beings who can act
In line with a chaos pact,
There is the fact
Of extra senses,
But my defences
Are not yet erected,
I become infected,
The enemy detected me
And they made me turn,
The pure make me burn,
I thought I would learn
Many lives ago,
But we never know
What type of task
They will ask
Of us,
I trust
I must
Continue.
