The Screen

I live in a dream,

I stare at the screen,

It didn’t seem

Like a drug in the beginning,

Now the addiction is winning,

Thinning my hair

As I become aware

Of base compulsion,

Revulsion and desire,

Fury and fire,

Pushing me higher

Using internal mechanism,

Schism between reality

And what the screen

Projects upon my brain.
