Moral Code

Ancient moral code,

Heavy load of fundamentalism,

Schism between

Real life and dream,

We may seem free,

But are we?

I can see the mental handcuffs

And the government’s toughs

Ready with rough treatment,

What is all this meant to achieve?

Does it matter what we believe?

We all receive

Light and life

Above your edicts,

Nothing predicts or prevents

The path of God,

You have not trod

This holy road,

And thus cannot enforce

Your moral code.
