I don’t have to prove my values to you,

There’s nothing I need to do,

You don’t have a clue

What my life is about,

I know you doubt

The person I’ve become,

What I’ve done,

On I run,

Unable to change,

I know I’m strange,

But I can’t easily rearrange

The pathways of my brain,

I have enough pain,

I can’t go through this again,

What have I to gain

By making you accept me?
