Hormones
by Sam M. Phillips

The horny horde hooves into view,
You stumble back
As they tangle in attack,
They lack finesse,
Your best defence,
Fence sitter,
Is to dodge,
Lodge yourself in a wedge,
Sledgehammer manner,
Spanner in works,
Jerks you from reverie,
Revelry as the horde hoot,
Searching for loot,
You are moot,
They don’t care
If you stare,
Rare sighting,
The horde fighting
Amongst themselves,
Delves down deep,
A secret to keep,
Take a leap of faith,
Wraith-like child,
Mild mannered,
Kindred crammer,
Stuff them in the slammer,
Rammer batters,
Shatters fortress,
Detest confinement,
Battlement of wonderment,
Lament a lost art,
Part angry,
Sandwiched between fates,
Palates refined,
Word defined,
Signed language,
Haunts the sage,
Sits in cage,
Rage on those who constrict,
Restrict him with word count,
Fount flows,
The only way he knows,
Penis pushing,
Fluids gushing,
Rushing to touching,
Slouching over sloppy mess,
Press of flesh,
Hessian sack,
Back against back,
Prove what you lack,
Rack of meat,
Seat of pants,
Rants roving,
Stoving in head,
Bad life led,
Red pen wanders,
Wonders a sumptuous tale,
Rail against prosperity,
Propensity to rebel,
Hell to sell,
Won’t dwell on it,
Sit and write,
Light match,
Catch a glimpse of shadow dancing,
Entrancing movement
On the pavement,
Horde still reeling,
Stealing everything from us,
Push aside,
You lied,
You tried to assist,
Dismissed,
Kissed maiden,
Tend to trading,
Laden ox,
Cost of burden,
Certain to cave us in,
Din of battle,
Saddle up and ride,
From hormones you cannot hide.
